Duplicate Content – Penalty or Not?

The feared “duplicate content penalty” is a subject that keeps popping up whenever people are discussing SEO, link building and particularly article marketing. I already published a short post on this subject, including a video showing a Google representative stating, in no uncertain terms, that there is no such thing as a duplicate content penalty. In this post, I want to take a different angle and offer a possible explanation for why the myth about the dcp is such a pervasive one.

The Best Spinner Review

Welcome to my review of the Best Spinner! I’ve already produced a fair amount of content concerning article spinning and I’ve often said that (spinning-) bots are stupid and that I’m no fan of auto-rewritten content. In light of this, it’s only fair that I give the big new player in the article spinning scene a fair review.

The Best Spinner is a new product by Jonathan Leger and in this review we’re going to find out whether it can live up to it’s name whether it’s just another piece of junkware you should steer clear of. Read on to get the details.

CRewriter – Free Article Spinning Application

CRewriter image

[error]UPDATE:

Unfortunately, CRewriter doesn’t exist anymore. As an alternative, I recommend you check out the free version of SpinChimp.[/error]

While I’m generally not a big fan of article spinning, I still make use of the technique here and there and I’m still going to be testing article marketing and rewriting software. Enter the CRewriter. This is an online application that you can use to make the article spinning process a bit simpler. Best of all, this tool is completely free to use.

Below, you’ll find a video showing the CRewriter in action and some more details about what it does and where you can find it.

Article Spinning Video (2/3): How to Use Article Spinning Syntax

In this video, I explain the use of article spinning syntax (a.k.a. Spyntax) to set up your texts for automatic spinning. Spyntax uses curly brackets and pipes in the text. These things here: { } and |. Article spinning tools can recognize this syntax and use it to automatically and randomly generate variations of your text. Sounds more complicated than it is. Watch the video and all will become clear:

The two free article spinning software tools mentioned in the video can be found here: Jetspinner Article Submission Helper Both are completely free. The Article Submission Helper (ASH) also includes an automatic article submission module. It’s definitely worth giving a try. Don’t miss my final video where I put everything together and show you exactly what kind of spinning makes sense and what kind is just a waste of time. Cheers, Signature EDIT: There was an editing mistake in the video. I reuploaded it and changed the link above. My apologies to everyone who saw the video with the error.

Article Spinning Video (1/3): What Is Article Spinning?

In this video, I explain the basic idea behind article spinning. You’ll see how spinning existing content into new and (semi-)unique versions can be useful, but you’ll also see what you should avoid doing. If it is not done right, article spinning is just a huge waste of time.

Check out the first out of this series of three videos about article spinning:

I hope you enjoyed this. Watch out for my next two videos to learn more about the dos and don'ts of spinning content. Cheers, Signature
