Using lastpass from long time…. It’s superb! :)

Nice video Shane.

Lastpass is superb – only one problem in my experience and that is where there are different logins on the same root domain. This can be membership sites on the same root.

I also have probs with 2 different Amazon.com / Amazon.co.uk…logins so maybe I need to use it slightly different?

Otherwise it is almost automatic and not noticed in action.

It would be horrible having to function without it!

“Save as new site” is what you’re looking for. You can easily save several logins for one site, and give each one a different title.

So you can have them listed as, for example:

    site.com – main login
    site.com – secondary login

I’ve been using LastPass for a while now. Some smart guy recommended it in a product I bought a while back called Backlink Battleplan. I can’t remember his name at the moment, but he looked a lot like the guy in this video!

Hey, Shane. Keep up the good work.

I’ve been using it for years and it’s AWESOME! I used to use Roboform and loved that, but LastPass is even better!

I’ve been using LastPass for several years now and I LOVE IT. I would be lost if I had to use something like a spreadsheet to remember all my logins.

Well done Shane.
Love your work and your advice.
Keep it coming.

Best regards,
Tim

Hi Shane

I have used Last pass but found that Roboform much better – Have been using it for over 10 years now – I am not sure if last Pass has a bookmarklet version –
Roboform has the bookmarklet version called Everywhere online and that is brilliant as I can use it from whereven I am – even when I am on another pc or mac away from my home – and its secure

    Hi Hamant,

LastPass has a feature like that as well. I haven’t used it myself, but I assume it works much the same as RoboForm’s.

Shane, great job with these App of the Week videos. I run a Business Productivity Group in North Carolina where i do basically the same thing, just in an in-person or live online setting. Brilliant minds think alike, huh?

I wanted to ask about your video. I just started using Wistia and am looking to add a bunch of video to my site.

Q: For the AOTW videos, are you using a green screen? If not, how are you getting the background graphic (software, etc?)?

Thanks for sharing all the info!
Tommy

Yes, that’s a green screen. I use Sony Vegas for editing. Everyone says it’s chroma keyer is terrible, but it seems to do a decent enough job for me.

LastPass is the number one tool I simply couldn’t do without. I recommend it to everyone I know.

I just started using Lastpass a few weeks ago and I don’t know how I lived without it: it’s like beer and coffee.

I have used LastPass for about 2 years now. It’s the most useful App that I use on a daily basis.

As you stated in your video, it saves me time and it saves me from headaches.

Thanks Shane

I haven’t tried LastPass. This is because I’ve used Roboform for over 5yrs and find the Roboform Everywhere functionality to be incredibly handy… Especially when I am working on a device that is not my own.

Shane is right, simply awesome. One note I’d like to share is that you can configure last pass to time out after a period of time, or inactivity. This is useful if someone steals your laptop. They will be unable to log into your accounts because last pass logs out. You can also log out manually for added security if you wish.

I’m 100 percent onboard with using this app. It’s highly configurable, for any situation, and very secure if you take a few precautions.

Hi Shane,

Thanks for the app info. I will start using it. I hope at my age I can remember my main password.

Keep up the good work on our behalf.

Thanks Shane,

I am using Roboform and like it but I will definitely take a look at LastPass because several people hereseem to like it over Roboform. It would be helpful to know why it is preferred.

It might come down to personal preference. The good thing is that there’s a function for importing your RoboForm passwords into LastPass, if you do want to make the transition. :)

I use LastPass in combination with Xmarks. What I love about it is that I sometimes use Firefox and other times I prefer to use Google Chrome, with both of these apps installed in both browers it does not matter which brower I am using. I have access to all of my bookmarks and all of my passwords all of the time.

Great shout with xmarks – I’m going to have to give that a test as I’m constantly frustrated when my bookmarks in Chrome aren’t the same as my bookmarks in Firefox.
