Backlinks Hydra Review

Welcome to my Backlinks Hydra review. Hydra is the newest product by Terry Kyle, who’s one of the two guys behind the backlinks forum, the guy behind the famous “60 day backlinks experiment” on the Warrior Forum and an all-around SEO and link-building Ninja.

This review, as you may have already noted, is quite unusual for me, since I’ve been concentrating on tools and software almost exclusively (after I was almost constantly disappointed with the info-products on making money online).

Backlinks Hydra is an info product. But it’s different from most info-products in two significant ways: 1) it’s very specific. It’s not about how to make money online in general, but rather it’s about high-end, state-of-the-art, advanced (not to say extreme) link-building. 2) It’s awesome (sorry if I just spoilered the ending of the review, here).

Read on to see what it’s all about…

Backlinks Hydra Overview

Name: Backlinks Hydra
Creator: Terry Kyle
Medium: Info-Product (videos and PDF)
Price: $97

Backlinks Hydra consists of one PDF document and two series of videos (one group of videos are “basics” and “mistakes to avoid” type of videos and the other group are about the Hydra tactics in detail). In addition, you also receive a free copy of Backlinks Blackbelt, Terry’s previous product and the predecessor to Hydra, in many ways.

Is it Any Good?

Yes, yes it is.

Here’s why: What you learn in Backlinks Hydra is completely new and original. If you’re fed up with products that just re-hash information that’s been around forever, you’ll love this. And it’s not only old ideas with a new twist, either. Most of the techniques in Hydra were never discussed anywhere before Terry brought them up. Granted, if you’ve been following Terry’s forum posts and are familiar with Backlinks Blackbelt, some of the techniques you’ll already be familiar with. But if you haven’t then I’m willing to bet that at least 90% of what you learn in Hydra will be new to you, even if you’re and experienced SEO’er.

The information in the product is top-notch and the delivery of the product, in videos and PDF format, is also very good.

So, is this a complete and unquestioning endorsement from me?

Nope.

Backlinks Hydra is Not for Everyone…

There’s no question about the quality of this product. However, I want to make it very clear that these are advanced link-building techniques that are discussed, here. If you’re completely new to online marketing and SEO in particular, I’m pretty sure the information in Hydra will simply be overwhelming and only of limited usefulness.

Another factor to keep in mind is that, to fully implement all of the Hydra tactics, you need to have some disposable income (to spend on the recommended tools, buying domains and more). Some of the tactics can be used for free link-building, by the way, but certainly not all of them.

So, here’s my verdict:

Verdict

If you’re a “newbie”, think twice about investing in this course. If you already know a thing or two about SEO, then it’s definitely something you want to look at, to expand your horizon. Finally, if you are already making money from your SEO efforts, then Backlinks Hydra is what you should spend some of that money on. It will doubtlessly help you get more success, better rankings and consequently more money from your SEO efforts.

Any more questions about this product? Just ask away in the comments and I’ll get back to you as quickly as possible.

Cheers,

I am very glad I found my way to your website. Someone suggested I watch your latest rant on the new AutoMassTraffic launch. Your analysis was spot on and earned respect from me (and many other marketers btw). That rant and my resonance with it, led me here. I am enjoying reading your site.

Btw I am also a subscriber and affiliate of Elegant Themes. Great themes and service.

Quality leaves clues. I will be looking more into this backlinks hydra on your recommendation.

Thanks for having integrity in the marketing world. I will subscribe.

Hi Shane,
Have a few questions about this product. I am not new to SEO but surely in the learning phase and after reading alot of reviews on BACKLINK BATTLEPLAN (your invention) and BACKLINK HYDRA i assume it’s more sensible to go with your product. Can you help me in differentating and help me to go ahead with the right choice?

    Hello Akbar,

Backlink Battleplan is definitely more “newbie-friendly” as there’s all the training material you need in there, to learn the basics of building backlinks, even if you are completely new to SEO.
It’s also low-cost, meaning that the techniques in this product cost nothing or very little to implement.

Backlink Hydra teaches much more advanced, and sometimes more effective, methods. The downside is that many of the methods require quite an investment (like buying websites, buying domains etc.).
I’d say: start with BBP and graduate to Hydra.

Hi Shane,

I came to our website while looking for review on LinkJuicer, I actually signed up for linkwheel but I just wanted to make sure that I am right on this. When I read your review I was happy.

Your review is simply the best which helps to decide on the product. I read through your feedback on this BackLink Hydra. I have question does this link method really works even after the Panda update? Will the investment on this really gives me what I am looking for with respect to improving ranking for some of my website which is really sticking around 4 to 7 pages?

Just concerned as I have spent many on such PDFs which then turns to be same stuff where they simply give links to WarriorForum members offering various link building services which really to speak does not serve the purpose.

Your frank view and opinion on the same.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your comment!
There’s some stuff about profile links in Hydra, that has lost a bit of significance. Although if you look at how he creates “powerful” reinforced profile links, that’s a different story.
Apart from that, the tactics in this course still work. It’s mostly quite advanced methods for getting high-quality links. Those have always had great value and aren’t as volatile as just getting tons of spam links.

    Hi,
I utilized some of the methods in Hydra for some of my sites with great success. It’s not so much one single method but a collection of several advanced link building techniques. I did not try them all, but the ones I did try worked very well for me.

Hello.

It is really surprising for me, now I have doubt how best the reviews to be believed?

I tried to buy BackLink Hydra when I clicked I got message from clickbank that the product has been disabled due to service violation. I am not sure why it is so, but the interesting thing it Terry still has the same “Add to Cart” button which takes to this error page on his website?

Surprised.
